How a project runs.
Four phases, dated before you sign. Here's what happens in each one, what you get at the end of it, and what we'll need from you.
A typical 12-week identity and website project
Design and build overlap by two weeks, so developers join while the design is still taking shape.
- Discovery
- Direction
- Design
- Build
- Launch and training
- Aftercare
The four phases
Product projects follow the same shape, with research and testing rounds in place of print production.
-
Discovery
2 weeks
We agree goals, audience and scope before any design starts. Discovery is paid and stands alone: if we part ways after it, the findings are yours.
What we do
- Kick-off workshop with your decision makers
- Interviews with customers or staff
- Review of your current brand, site or product
What you get
- A written brief you can share
- Success measures we both sign off
- A dated plan and fixed price for the rest
What we need from you
- One person who can make decisions
- Access to analytics and past research
- Two hours for the workshop
-
Direction
2 weeks
We show two or three distinct routes, each one applied to your real pages, packaging or screens, so you can judge them where they'll live.
What we do
- Explore routes in parallel
- Apply each route to real examples
- Present and discuss together
What you get
- Two or three routes in context
- A recommendation, with reasons
- One chosen direction to develop
What we need from you
- A 90-minute review meeting
- Feedback within three working days
- Your real content, even if rough
-
Design and build
6–8 weeks
We develop the chosen route into a full system and build it. You see progress every week, in a shared file and on a staging site.
What we do
- Design every template and asset
- Front-end development and testing
- Weekly check-ins, 30 minutes
What you get
- Access to work in progress at all times
- Two rounds of revisions per stage
- A staging site to review on your devices
What we need from you
- Final copy and images on the agreed dates
- One round of consolidated feedback
- Access to hosting and domains
-
Launch
1 week, then 30 days
We launch together, train your team and stay on call. Every project includes 30 days of fixes after launch.
What we do
- Pre-launch checks and redirects
- Launch-day support
- Team training session
What you get
- Guidelines and a handover guide
- All source files and code
- 30 days of fixes, included
What we need from you
- Someone available on launch day
- Two hours for training
- A list of who needs access
Working together

One weekly call
Thirty minutes, same time every week, with an agenda sent the day before. Cancel it when there is nothing to show.
Work in progress, always visible
A live design file and a staging site from week five. No big reveals, no surprises.
Decisions in writing
After every review we send a short note of what was agreed, so nothing depends on memory.
