Working on something similar?

A small studio, on purpose.

Halden has nine people and no account managers. The designers you meet on the first call are the ones doing the work.

We started in 2014 making identities for local businesses. Today we work with founders, cultural institutions and product teams across Europe, usually on a handful of projects at a time so each one gets proper attention.

How a project runs

  1. Discovery

A paid two-week sprint to agree goals, audience and scope before any design starts.

  2. Direction

Two or three distinct design routes, shown in context rather than on blank boards.

  3. Build

Weekly check-ins while we design and develop the route you chose.

  4. Launch

Handover, team training and 30 days of fixes, included in every project.

Rated 5 out of 5

They asked better questions about our business than our own board did. The identity they landed on still feels right three years later.

Mara Ruiz Founder, Ostra Seafood Hall

Our dispatchers stopped keeping a spreadsheet on the side. That was the real test, and the new dashboard passed it.

Tomás Lindqvist Head of Operations, Corvane Freight

Clear process, honest timelines, and a website our own team can update without help.

Questions, answered

Can't find what you need? See all questions or email hello@example.com.

Most identity projects take six to eight weeks. Websites take eight to twelve weeks, depending on content and integrations. You'll get a dated plan before you sign anything.

Yes. The Launch plan was designed for teams raising their first round or opening their first location. If you'd be better served by waiting, we'll say so.

You do. Once the final invoice is paid, you own the designs, source files and code. Fonts and stock assets keep their own licences, and we'll list each one for you.

Often that's the best setup. We can hand over a documented design system for your team to build from, or work alongside them through the build.

A short brief, one person who can make decisions, and an hour for a kickoff call. No brief yet? The contact form below is a good place to start one.
